Albuquerque, N.M. - Alicia Maese, Vice President of People and Culture at Nusenda Credit Union, has been recognized as a 2025 40 Under 40 Honoree by Albuquerque Business First. For 23 years, Albuquerque Business First has honored young professionals across New Mexico who demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation, and community impact.

Alicia joined Nusenda as a Human Resources Specialist and has since advanced through several key leadership roles, including Senior HR Systems Specialist and Director of HR Operations. In her current role as Vice President of People and Culture, she leads a team responsible for talent acquisition, employee benefits and well-being, payroll and compensation, employee lifecycle support, and engagement activities for more than 900 employees across New Mexico and West Texas.
With over 15 years of human resources experience, Alicia is known for her ability to create and implement innovative workforce solutions that support employees in every phase of their career. Her leadership extends beyond Nusenda, as she volunteers with the Nusenda Foundation in supporting our annual grant program, and contributes to initiatives that strengthen local communities. She also dedicates time to philanthropic efforts, such as preparing care packages for individuals experiencing homelessness alongside her young sons.
