Nusenda Credit Union Announces Extension with Playfly Sports

Nusenda Credit Union Logo on University Stadium

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Beginning with the Spring Football Game on April 18, fans at University Stadium will notice a new addition to the field: Nusenda Credit Union’s logo will now be featured on the turf. A long-standing partner of Playfly Sports and UNM Athletics, Nusenda has extended and expanded its partnership through June 2029.
This multi-year extension includes several new assets within UNM athletics, the most visible being the placement of Nusenda’s logo at the 25-yard lines along with exclusive credit union marketing rights. The branding will debut during the Spring Game and remain through at least the 2028 football season.

“We are incredibly grateful for the continued support of Nusenda Credit Union and President/CEO Michelle Dearholt,” said Vice President/Director of Athletics Fern Lovo. “In today’s evolving collegiate athletics landscape, strong community partnerships are more important than ever. Nusenda’s presence on the field reflects our shared values and commitment to the Lobo community.”

While fans may notice Nusenda’s support at University Stadium, The Pit, and on the Lobo Sports App, their engagement spans the entire university. They offer support to UNM students throughout their academic journey, from their on-campus branch at the Student Union Building to new student orientation and comprehensive financial literacy programs at the Center for Financial Capability. Their commitment extends to providing essential resources such as internet access, a food pantry, and Powering Success loans for students experiencing hardship.

"At Nusenda, we believe in the power of community, and our long-time partnership with UNM and UNM Athletics is a reflection of that,” said Michelle Dearholt, President and CEO of Nusenda Credit Union. “Lobo fans are passionate, and we’re proud to support an institution that brings people together with school spirit and opportunities for students, fans, faculty, and student-athletes to succeed both on and off the field. We look forward to cheering on the Lobos for many years to come."

The upcoming 2025 season promises an exciting home schedule for Lobo Football, including the debut of head coach Jason Eck. The Lobos will kick off the season against Idaho State on September 6 and will host New Mexico State in the 115th Rio Grande Rivalry on September 27. Additional home matchups include Utah State, San Diego State, Colorado State, and Nevada.

“I’ve been truly impressed by the level of community support for Lobo Football since arriving in December,” said Coach Jason Eck. “Nusenda’s decision to step up their partnership with us reinforces the momentum we’re building as we look ahead to the 2025 season.”
